BIOGRAPHY

Lyric coloratura soprano and performing artist Jenna Rose Cipolla is known for her shimmery vocal color, agile technique, and commanding stage presence. With a background spanning opera and musical theater, she is passionate about bringing stories to life through music and creating meaningful connections with audiences. Her repertoire reflects her versatility as an artist, encompassing Mozart, bel canto, contemporary works, and musical theater.

Her recent operatic roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni (International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia), Jeanette in L’Amant Anonyme (Eastman Opera Theater), Gretel in a concert version of Hänsel und Gretel (Westrick Music Academy), and Little Daughter in Proving Up (Eastman Opera Theater). Her musical theater credits include Anne in A Little Night Music (Seagle Festival), Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (Seagle Festival), and Pregnant Shopper Mom in a workshop presentation of Yeltsin in Texas, a new musical by Mack & McGuire.

As a concert artist, Ms. Cipolla has performed as soprano soloist in Mozart’s Mass in C Minor with the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra and Eastman-Rochester Chorus in Kodak Hall, as well as in Our Voices, a concert series featuring the works of Lori Laitman, Anthony Davis, and Ben Moore. In August 2026, she makes her German debut in the Lotte Lehmann Concert Series, performing selections of Blonde from Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Norina from Donizetti’s Don Pasquale.

Ms. Cipolla is an Emerging Talent Award Winner of the 2023 Lotte Lenya Competition and a finalist in the 2023 Career Bridges Grant Awards, with additional recognition from the Beethoven Club of Memphis Savell Competition, NATS, and Opera Index.

Of Puerto Rican and Italian heritage, Ms. Cipolla is currently based in Bern, Switzerland, where she continues her studies in opera at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied Voice Performance and Music Cognition, and is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program. In addition to her work as a performing artist, she is a certified 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
